Our Vision

The Justice Initiative envisions, a journey towards justice that

upholds the inherent sacredness, respect and dignity of the human person.
irrespective of their colour or shade, region or religion, caste or creed and above all not for what they have done but for who they are;
is graceful and not condemning, merciful and not judgmental,
kind and compassionate yet truthful;
reaches out to redeem, to rebuild, to restore and to reconcile;
journeys alongside and together with men, women, people of all genders and children, families, communities, systems, governments, and nations
both for now and for generations to come.

What Sets Us Apart

TJI is a community of people who believe strongly in innate human dignity, respect and grace. Our efforts are based on the philosophy that every human being is defined by who they are and not by what they do. For us, every person in conflict with the law is a person first.

Having being engaged with the criminal justice system in India and our close engagement with those in conflict with the law, it our collective desire to support the efforts of the Indian justice system – by making accessible programmes that foster holistic well-being and reintegration into society.
