OUR JOURNEY
We are sojourners on a journey towards justice. Personally, and collectively we have chosen to make this journey, for ourselves and together with others. It’s a journey towards redefining justice through our canvas of dreams. Our dream is to engage with, engage alongside people with respect, dignity and grace, for who they really are and not for what they have done. We look forward to making forays into homes, communities, systems and create spaces for dialogue, that can bring about change in how we think of justice, how we define justice and how we translate justice in the myriad nuances of all of our lives. We desire to create spaces where people can belong, be at home and become communities that will model the reality of another chance at life, another chance at the fullness of life.
As a community of sojourners with a shared passion for issues of justice. Each one of us has been engaged in our own corners and spaces, working in various capacities, and coming from a myriad range of professions, to now collectively make this journey.
The seeds for our new-found identity were sown beginning with our close association and engagement with individuals in conflict with the law. A few of our founding members have over the years been engaged with the Criminal Justice System in India, as a part of other organisations and then in their own individual capacities. It was our need to do more and confidence in our ability to do more and look beyond that brought us together to be the entity that we are today.
