Cecilia Davies
“My association with the Justice Initiative stems from my passion to redefine justice, through the lives of those who are forgotten, forsaken and condemned to life behind bars. Through the Justice Initiative, I am choosing to journey towards justice that will heal, restore and make us whole individually and collectively.”
Chandramma
TJI'S Assistant Project Officer supporting the Creative Expressions Trainings & Mentoring efforts across locations.
Christina Panmei
I've been one among the many who has been quick to typecast those who are in prison or have been a prisoner. The association with TJI has enabled me to gain a new perspective into the way I perceive things and the people involved in such a situation. The TJI team's commitment and dedication to the work they are doing for the women in prisons are commendable, and deserve more recognition than they are receiving now.
With a Master’s in Human Resource Management to her credit, Christina’s experience includes the area of recruitment, particularly for the IT sector. Moving on from there she has since been closely involved in the area of counseling, communication, training and development for the development sector over a period of eight years of her career. When free her energies are focused on managing the home front, while pursuing her passion for baking and experimenting with cuisines across various cultures.

Kunal Ambasta
“TJI works on an oft overlooked aspect of criminal justice reform, which is the treatment and conditions of prisoners; and efforts towards true rehabilitation. This work is not just necessary, but is a constituent part of the main goals of the criminal justice system. Being an academician in criminal law, and a criminal law advocate, I consider it an enriching experience to be associated with the organisation."
Siddharth Sangameswaran
“Our system is designed in a way where people with limited means are often caught in the revolving door of injustice. We are retributive rather than restorative. I believe that we must work together and learn to forgive to progress. People deserve a second chance where they have the opportunity to rebuild their lives. TJI's mission is to facilitate this process and that is why I choose to be part of this organisation.”
Sushanth Abhishek
I have always been passionate about Social Equity and Justice and see the mission of the Justice Initiative Foundation as being able to take a step in the right direction towards providing such an ecosystem of support to individuals who have found themselves in the unfortunate circumstances to be in opposition to the law and punitive criminal justice policies.
An alumnus of IIM, Kozhikode; Sushanth is an IT professional with a keen interest in issues related to Social Justice & Social Equity. He has been closely associated with several projects in the development sector over the years. While free, he continues to pursue his varied interests ranging from cooking to writing and photography; while he is not heading operations for a Miami, FL, USA based IT company.
